Our handcrafted bead collection is made through two distinct methods of processing, each featuring specific techniques that enhance the beauty and uniqueness of each individual bead.
Embossed with silver leaf
This technique begins by forming a glass sphere using selected glass rods. Once the sphere is formed, it is gently wrapped in authentic silver leaf. The next step is the application of a layer of transparent colored glass.
This not only protects the thin silver leaf, but also adds a vibrant splash of color, creating a deep, rich visual effect that brings out the brightness of the silver underneath.
Embossed with mineral luster
In this method, the bead is initially shaped from pastel glass rods, which are opaque. After forming the base bead, it is covered with a layer of crystalline glass.
Such covering not only gives the pearl a lustrous and transparent appearance, but also allows the interior colors to reflect and intensify, generating a fascinating play of light.
Both techniques involve the use of copper sticks for support during processing. These sticks not only help maintain the shape during cooling, but are essential for piercing the bead, allowing chains or jewelry settings to be inserted. At the end of processing, the beads are detached from the copper sticks by means of an acid bath.
This process not only cleans the pearl, but also enhances its brilliance, making each pearl a masterpiece of luminous reflections.
Each step in this meticulous process is essential to ensure that each pearl made is not just a piece of jewelry, but a unique work of art, the result of a tradition of high-quality craftsmanship.
